Watching our Chicks Hatch & Earth Day Celebrations

This week the Little Birds were  excited to return to Nursery after the Easter break. As they have the “Living Eggs project” where 10 eggs were delivered for us to watch in the incubator, to see how many hatch. Everyone was so fascinated to closely observe the hatching process and the children thoroughly enjoyed this experience. They learnt about the life cycle of a chick and used their fine motor skills to cut and stick the life cycle of a chick onto a piece of paper.

The children can’t wait to  handle the chicks and see how they have grown and developed.

“We can put our rubbish in the bin.”

It was also Earth Day and the Little birds also learnt about how to care for the environment and the importance of recycling our unwanted paper and waste. The children discussed how we can keep our world and Nursery clean.
