The Nativity - Leigh Academy Dartford

This week Little Birds have been introduced to the story of the birth of Jesus in ‘The Christmas Story’.

They have learnt about some of the important figures: Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, the three wise men, the angel and shepherds. A Nativity scene was set up using blocks, small world people and animals for the children to play with and use their imagination to retell parts of the familiar story.

Little Birds were very fascinated by Bee-bots. They developed their technology and thinking skills. Programming the Bee-bots to move around the road mat to take a journey from Dartford to Bethlehem.

During the whole class time we looked at Google Earth to inquire about the city of Bethlehem linked to the Nativity story and compare with where we live in the United Kingdom in the county of Dartford.
