Last week, our Year 3/4 football team took part in an exciting tournament at Dartford Football Club – and what a day it was! With 24 schools, 236 children, and 62 matches played, it was a fantastic celebration of teamwork, skill, and sportsmanship.
Our pupils represented the school impeccably, showing determination, teamwork and great spirit throughout the day. In the group stage, they were on top form – finishing top of their group with four wins and one draw. This impressive run earned them a well-deserved place in the semi-final.
The semi-final was tense and thrilling – a nail-biting experience for Mrs Range and Mr Foulds on the sidelines! After a hard-fought match, the team held their nerve and came through victorious on penalties, securing a spot in the final.

In the final, they faced a very strong Fleetdown team. Despite their best efforts and another brilliant performance, our players narrowly missed out on the title. However, they could hold their heads high – every single player gave their all and showed what true sportsmanship looks like.
The team proudly received medals for their outstanding efforts and have also qualified for Finals Night in the stadium this coming May, where they’ll compete for the Year 3/4 Super Cup.
A huge congratulations to all the players – you made us incredibly proud!
