Times Tables Rockstars Day

On Friday 19th September 2025, our academy was buzzing with excitement as we held a rockstar-themed day to re-launch our online Times Tables Rockstars (TTRS) programme! Pupils came to school decked out with creative rockstar accessories, wacky hair, colourful wigs, funky shades, and bold face paint, bringing a lively, musical vibe to the classrooms.

The day was designed to make learning times tables fun and engaging. Pupils from Year 2 upwards jumped straight into the TTRS activities, challenging themselves to improve their speed and accuracy with multiplication facts. Even our EYFS and Year 1 pupils joined in the fun with their own rockstar accessories.

The atmosphere was electric, with students excited to compete and see how quickly they could “rock” their times tables. The day not only encouraged a love for mathematics but also reinforced the importance of regular practice at home through TTRS.

We are thrilled with the enthusiasm shown by all our pupils and look forward to seeing them continue to shine as Times Tables Rockstars throughout the year!

This group seems to be continuing the music/rock star theme, with many children making the "rock on" hand gesture (devil horns). The children are primarily wearing their school uniforms (white shirts, dark skirts or trousers) but have added themed accessories. Fingerless gloves are a common accessory among the children. Other accessories include bandanas, sunglasses, and a fan (held by the girl on the far right). Some children have face paint or makeup, such as the girl on the far left with red and blue paint. They are posing energetically, adding to the rock star vibe. The poster on the wall mentions "ARTIST OF THE TERM", which might suggest the day is linked to an arts or music appreciation event.
This group is clearly embracing a rock-and-roll aesthetic. Several children are wearing sunglasses, and some have temporary tattoo sleeves or arm covers. Accessories like bandanas, fingerless gloves, chains or necklaces, and brightly colored hair clips or wigs are visible. Two of the boys kneeling in the front row are dressed in a hip-hop/rock fusion style with bandanas, shades, and thick necklaces. One child is dressed in a style reminiscent of Michael Jackson (dark wig, sunglasses, black and white outfit). The overall mood is playful and cool, with the children posing confidently.
