On Thursday, 13th March, our Year 2 children had the incredible opportunity to attend The Snail and the Whale orchestra performance at the Royal Festival Hall. From the moment they stepped into the grand concert venue, excitement filled the air, and the children eagerly anticipated the magical performance ahead.
The children were completely engaged as they listened to the beloved story unfold, brought to life by the mesmerising sounds of the orchestra. It was a joy to see their faces light up as the musicians used their instruments to create suspense, drama and wonder, perfectly accompanying the narration of The Snail and the Whale.
One of the most memorable moments of the performance was when the children joined in singing Deep Down Under the Sea. With enthusiastic voices and lively actions, they became part of the experience, making the performance even more special.
It was an incredible experience to witness such talented musicians perform their beautiful music live. The skill and emotion behind every note played captivated both children and adults alike. The performance has undoubtedly left a lasting impression on our young audience, inspiring them to explore the world of music further.
This unforgettable trip to the Royal Festival Hall has sparked curiosity and creativity in our Year 2 children, and we can’t wait to see how this musical adventure influences their learning and love for storytelling through music!
