This morning, our Reception children have been on a pretend journey to the Arctic!
We explored what this fascinating icy world might be like. We imagined what it would be like to step into a land covered in snow and ice, wrapped up warm in thick coats, hats and gloves. The children discussed what they would need to wear in freezing temperatures.
They explored the importance of warm coats, hats, gloves and boots, and talked about why these items help keep us safe in cold weather. The children had a wonderful time exploring the igloo and the different animals. The children cannot wait to write their postcards about their trip over the rest of the week.
